Sept. 11 vs. Maine (CAA/FCS) at Beaver Stadium—Opponent announced Jan. 22, 2026—First meeting ever— (Delaware was originally scheduled in 2018 for this date & was cancelled by “mutual agreement” per Blue Hens news release Jan. 21, 2026—Delaware, now a member of C-USA, wanted to play at Illinois on this date instead—Delaware was an FCS school in 2023 when they last played at PSU—Per a 2017 Big Ten rule change, members can schedule FCS schools in years in which they play 5 conference road games—FCS opponents receive a smaller game guarantee payout than FBS foes)
