Penn State’s Kyle Vasey Seriously Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver

Former Penn State Long Snapper Kyle Vasey (2014-18) was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver on June 1 while walking near his fiancé’s home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Vasey was on the sidewalk with his fiancé when a pickup truck allegedly driven by an individual with a revoked license struck Vasey, his fiancé, and a third person and then reportedly fled the scene. Vasey’s fiancé, Corinne More, was killed while Vasey and the other woman suffered injuries. Police, with help from witnesses, quickly tracked down and arrested the driver on multiple charges pending further investigation.

Vasey, who was a 2-year starter at long snapper for PSU in 2017 and 2018, is hospitalized with traumatic injuries including spinal fractures, and has already undergone six surgeries according to his parents on social media. His parents also say he is on a ventilator and is sedated to help with recovery. A GoFundMe was set up by his family on June 7 to help with medical costs.
