Nick Singleton Suffers Broken Foot at Senior Bowl
Former Penn State running back Nick Singleton was injured at practice for the 2026 Senior Bowl on Thursday, Jan. 29. The injury apparently occurred, or was aggravated, during a 1-on-1 pass receiving drill on his first and only rep vs. linebackers (there was no contact on the play). Rich Scarcella of the Reading Eagle reported on Jan. 30 that Nick suffered a broken bone in his right foot that would require surgery. The surgery will take place the first week of February at the Andrews Sports Medicine Center in Birmingham, AL. Singleton will obviously miss the Senior Bowl game on Jan. 31 leaving only 4 Penn State participants remaining including Kaytron Allen. Scarcella also reports that Nick will still attend the NFL Combine (Feb. 22-March 2) in Indianapolis but will not take part in on-field activities scheduled for Feb. 28. Singleton has been projected by some experts as one of the top 5 running backs available in the 2026 NFL Draft. ESPN has him ranked as the #6 running back in the upcoming Draft.
Nick is one of 9 PSU players invited to the NFL Scouting Combine along with Kaytron Allen. (Official invitations announced Feb. 11). Workouts for Nick (Interviews/meetings only), Kaytron, and Drew Allar (who will reportedly “throw” at the Combine per ESPN & at PSU Pro Day) are scheduled for Feb. 28 at 1pm live on NFL Network. Senior Bowl link below also includes PSU player list for Combine.
Singleton will not be ready for Penn State’s Pro Day on March 18 at Holuba Hall.
