Sept. 28 AP & Coaches Top 25 Poll Updates
Penn State (3-1, 0-1) falls four spots to #7 in the AP Poll & #6 in the Coaches Poll released on Sunday following the Nittany Lions first loss of the season, 30-24 in 2-OT vs. Oregon in the Whiteout game at Beaver Stadium. Ohio State is still #1 in both polls, but unbeaten Oregon has vaulted to the #2 slot in both polls followed by Miami which had been #2 in the AP. Ole Miss is now #4 in both with the AP calling Oklahoma #5 while the Coaches Poll has Texas A&M at #5.
Indiana (5-0) which plays at PSU on Nov. 8 has moved up to #8 in the AP Poll & #9 in the Coaches Poll following a 20-15 win at Iowa.
Next up for Penn State is its first road game of the year at winless UCLA on Saturday, Oct. 4 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena. Kickoff is 3:30pm EDT/12:30pm PDT on CBS-TV.
