Nittany Notes:
15 games at Penn State have seen two receivers each collect 100+ yards through the air… Most recently on two occasions in 2021…
Bobby Engram & Freddie Scott are the only pair of Penn Staters to do it 3-times… All 3 games coming in the undefeated 1994 season…
In a home victory over Rutgers, Engram posted his first career 200-yard receiving game with exactly 200 yards along with a 108-yard showing from Freddie Scott… A week later in a win over Temple at Franklin Field, Engram delivered 136 yards to go with 115 yards from Scott… Then in the regular season and home finale with Michigan State, Engram and Scott combined for their largest receiving total ever—314 yards on 169 from Engram and a career-high 145 from Scott…
Two other pairs have done the 100/100 receiving combo twice… DaeSean Hamilton & Geno Lewis in 2014 (UCF & Rutgers), and Jahan Dotson & Parker Washington in 2021 (Villanova & Ohio State)… In the 2014 win at the Croke Park Classic vs. UCF in Dublin, Ireland, both Lewis (173 yards on 8 catches) and Hamilton (165 yards on 11 catches) delivered their Penn State career-best performances…
