Former Penn State QB Beau Pribula Injured

Former Penn State & current Missouri QB Beau Pribula suffered a significant injury in the Tigers 17-10 loss at Vanderbilt on Oct. 25. Pribula was injured in the 3rd period on a 4th and goal keeper that resulted in him being awkwardly tackled. He received immediate medical attention on the field where an air cast was applied to his left leg. Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz said after the game that Pribula did not suffer any broken bones, but his timetable for a return to action is unknown. Drinkwitz suggested that the injury could be a dislocation of the left ankle and an MRI would be done to determine the true extent of the injury.

The Pribula MRI revealed a “bad sprain and ligament damage”, but surgery is not required. His dislocated ankle was popped back into place while he was still on the field. There is an “outside chance” of his return this season. NOTE NOV. 22—Pribula returned to game action for Missouri in a loss at Oklahoma.

Ironically, both Pribula and his former PSU teammate Drew Allar QB both suffered serious injuries to their left ankles this season. Allar suffered a broken ankle which required season-ending surgery in Penn State’s loss to Northwestern on Oct. 11.
