Abdul Carter, Tyler Warren Solid NFL Debuts

Penn State stars and 2025 1st Round Draft Picks, Abdul Carter (NY Giants 3rd pick overall) and Tyler Warren (Colts 14th pick overall), made impressive debuts with their new NFL teams on Sunday, Sept. 7…

Carter was labeled a “menace” by the Bergen County, NJ Record in its coverage of the New York Giants loss to the Washington Commanders… The paper added that the numbers don’t do Carter justice… Abdul was credited with 3 tackles and half a sack on defense, and he partially blocked a punt playing special teams…

Tyler Warren, meantime, made his debut as the Indianapolis Colts Tight End a successful one with 7 receptions for 76 yards in the 33-8 win over the Miami Dolphins… In fact, the Colts opened the season with their new QB Daniel Jones going to Warren on the very first play from scrimmage for a nice gain… Tyler also rushed once for 3 yards… UPDATE—Sept. 28 in Colts-Rams game in LA, Tyler Warren scored his first NFL TD on a 2-yard run up the middle in the second period of a 27-20 Colts loss.

Another Penn Stater, Micah Parsons also made his presence known with his new club, the Green Bay Packers… Micah hunted down Detroit Lions QB Jared Goff for his first sack of the season in the 4th quarter of the Packers week one victory…
