Tikey Hayes RB—DESTINATION: appears to be Juco-Iowa Western Community College—Announced via social media on Jan. 10 that he would enter portal with 4 years of eligibility remaining—Tikey is the nephew of PSU coach Terry Smith—saw his only career game action at PSU in the 2025 Pinstripe Bowl win vs. Clemson—Had originally announced his intent to stay at Penn State for 2026 on Jan. 7—Barring undisclosed factors, he appears to have changed his mind after Cam Wallace RB withdrew from the portal and returned to PSU on Jan. 10—April 14, ‘Hudl’ page for Hayes is updated to indicate his apparent connection to Iowa Western in Council Bluffs, but there has been no public commitment (Penn State has also been scrubbed from the player’s history section). Hayes does not appear on Iowa Western’s roster—The Juco option strongly suggests “undisclosed factors” in his decision to leave PSU
